PICTURE: Matt Maher appointed as Site Lead at major manufacturing facility in Tipperary

Matt Maher has been appointed as Site Lead for MSD Ballydine, county Tipperary.

With a background in Chemical Engineering and Microbiology, Matt has been part of the MSD Ireland team for almost 22 years, holding senior leadership positions within MSD Ireland’s network over the years.

MSD Ballydine was MSD’s first site in Ireland when it was first established in 1976, and is the primary small molecule pipeline commercialisation facility globally, also operating as a European hub for quality, manufacturing, and engineering.

Speaking about his appointment, Matt Maher said: "I have been very fortunate over my career with MSD Ireland to have been able to grow both professionally and personally every year which is a testament to the focus our company places on development.

"I have always felt at one with our company’s commitment to making a difference for patients, for communities and for the future.

"I’m honoured to now be leading the MSD Ballydine site, and being part of the next chapter in its long and successful trajectory as one of our county’s largest employers and contributors.

"I’m very excited for everything we will achieve into the future as we continue to grow our site, our capability, and our people, always delivering for patients at the heart of everything we do."
