Friday, May 26, was a very memorable and exciting event organised by Sinead Cahill and her dance school.

A large crowd assembled in the Ursuline School Community Hall. A feast of dancing took place with over 300 dancers of all ages taking to the floor for three hours of nonstop excitement.

The event was also a sad occasion as it marked the retirement of teacher Sinead Cahill from all her junior classes.

Sinead has given 30 years of tremendous service to many children who have participated in her school of Dancing.

It was evident by the crowd who turned out to pay tribute to the wonderful Sinead that she is held in high esteem by all parents, children and adults who participated in her classes.

The words enjoyment and fun were plain to be seen by all the many dancers who took to the floor, and it was very evident that

Sinead is a much loved and respected lady who has given so much of her time and kindness to all the many children and adults that have passed through her hands.

Sinead Cahill, in her thank you speech, thanked each person who helped in any way to make the event such a success.

To all the people and businesses that gave spot prizes for the event, to all the adults who helped on the day with all the jobs which ensured the success of the event.

Sinead thanked all the participants who gave donations for the event. The amazing sum of € 5,522.11 was raised through the event and, which was presented to Suir Havens Director of Services Anna Ryan and Counsellor Eileen Kennedy when Sinead visited Suir Haven recently to make the presentation.

This money is very much appreciated and will ensure that Suir Haven continues to provide support for people who have been given a cancer diagnosis and their family members.

Sinead Cahill would like to thank all the parents and children for their support and dedication over 30 years of classes and wishes all the children and parents to continue to enjoy dancing in the years to come.

The adult classes will continue, and Sinead encourages all adults who enjoy dancing to join the adult classes for the year ahead and contact Sinead for full details.

Suir Haven cancer support centre wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Sinead for organising such a large fundraiser and assure the public that the funds will be put to go use in the project.

This is the second successful fundraiser Sinead has organised for Suir Haven, and it is much appreciated.

All in Suir Haven and all the children and parents involved with Sinead over the 30 years wish to extend sincere good wishes to

Sinead and her husband John and their family for the years ahead.
