St. Michael’s showed their class to bounce back from their FAI Junior Cup cup defeat as they got back to winning ways on the local front. They travelled yesterday to to Celtic Park to take on Clonmel Celtic in an eagerly anticipated Tipperary Cup semi-final.

The west Tipperary side showed their class again as they produced a clinical display, beating Clonmel Celtic 2-0 in the end. The double is still on for the Cooke Park side who take it one game at a time. They now march on to play Old Bridge FC in the Tipperary Cup Final with the time and date of that fixture to be confirmed.

There was another huge game at the top of the Clonmel Credit Union Premier Division with the top two teams taking on each other. Clonmel Town, who are currently top of the table, travelled up the M8 to Thurles yesterday afternoon to take on Peake Villa. The south Tipp team were second best though to Peake Villa who ran out 5-1 winners in the end.
