Swan GAA Club weekly news

Last week was one of mixed fortunes for the Swan Minor footballers.

The team were defeated by Cahir in the South Final replay last Thursday but won the county quarter-final two days later by defeating Upperchurch Drombane by six points. After the disappointment of losing a final less than 48 hours earlier, these players showed great resilience and character to earn their place in the county semi-final next weekend. The Swan Club congratulates all involved in the team.

The club's Christmas party for juveniles takes place this Thursday, December 8. The U5, U6, U7, U8, U9 teams and their coaches are going to Kringle Town, Kilmacthomas.

Meanwhile, the club collected Christmas draw tickets and remittance in the old Club house again on Monday, December 5 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

The first draw is on Tuesday night. There are 19 chances to win money over the 12 days of the draw, which boasts €20,000 in prize money again this year. It costs just €50 to enter.

You can buy from your usual ticket seller, from any Committee member, or online, through the Carrick Swan GAA Club website.

The club's Juvenile Lotto jackpot stands at a massive €13,500 this week. Numbers drawn last week were: 1,18,25,26. Three players matched three numbers, winning €70 each. Finally, the Swan Club extends condolences to the Moroney family of Treacy Park on their recent bereavement.
