This Tipperary market has a brand new offering this weekend

On Saturday July 29, we hope to expand our offering at the market, and have The Bean Box at the Thurles Market.

Based in Loughmore, they offer a range of crepes, cold drinks, tea, coffee and snacks.

We have plenty of outdoor seating to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee and some delicious crepes.

Heritage Week

This is our Heritage Week event – thanks to Tipperary County Council and the Heritage officer for their support.

This year the focus is on skills and traditions - we will use our market on August 12 to share some skills and to raise funds for Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre.

We are planning demonstrations of honey making, butter making and flour making.

In addition, we will have a raffle for trailers of turf and firewood. Some live farm animals and some vintage vehicles will also be on display.

The Cabragh Whistlers will provide live music for the event – thanks ladies.

Our baker is delighted to take any advance orders you may have, and the range available is excellent – bread – brown or white, scones – plain, fruit or raspberry, buns, brownies, eclairs, tarts (apple or rhubarb), cakes – lemon, coffee or sponge etc.

Hammersley’s butchers offer so much – pork, chicken, beef, lamb, milk, cheese (Cashel Blue and a Cashel Blue Reserve Cheddar) eggs from free range hens, honey and jams – all the goodness of the Golden Vale!

Michael Ryan offers a huge range of fruit and vegetables, with new potatoes hugely popular at present.

He also stocks hen and duck eggs, while TJ and Michelle offer a range of bedding plants and fuel deliveries.

Market

We have a location that allows indoor or outdoor trading every Saturday morning 9am to 12.30pm and offers our customers plenty of free car parking – new traders welcome – call 087 270 1689.

The Café Chris Tea Coffee Truck is on site seven days a week, so it is a great point for walkers to meet – have a beverage (hot or cold) before or after your walk - plenty of outdoor seating available to sit and have a chat.
