22. Bryan O'Mara Rating: 6/10 There’s a lot of expectation on this man’s shoulders and despite his rich potential, he had a tough enough day out. Made some really poor decisions late in the first half which led to a couple of goal chances for Clare, and needed to stay steady in front of the full back line. He steadied down much better in the second half and we’ll grow with each game.

12. Ronan Maher Rating: 6/10 Had a tough first half on Shane O’Donnell who won countless duels for possession ahead of the Thurles Sarsfields man. He came more and more into the game in the second half. More to come from him in the coming games as he is capable of being more influential.

26. Alan Tynan Rating: 6/10 After being so good against Limerick a little over a month ago, Tynan was earmarked to be prominent here, but despite his best efforts he couldn’t get into the game. Put in a big shift but the ball just didn’t fall for him on the day. Capable of more.

14. Dan McCormack Rating: 7/10 Set the tone from the throw in and delivered for Jake Morris’ early point after winning possession. He worked his socks off as usual and he epitomized the team effort, winning a late free ahead of Robyn Mounsey for Tipp to seal the win. Looks in great shape for the games to come.
