20. Gearoid O'Connor Rating: 7/10 O’Connor proved to be a real target man in the half forward line and disrupted John Conlon and co throughout the game to good effect. Hit two very tasty points late in the second half when Clare had just scored, which were important to take the sting away from the team’s effort. Again, one of five debutants who should grow from their opening taste of action.

18. Noel McGrath Rating: 7/10 Created so much space for Morris and Forde to cause trouble, he had John Conlon in two minds all game and made a real nuisance of himself. Got on oodles of possession and pointed twice, but will be disappointed with some poor wides struck in the second half. Looks in top shape for the throes of championship.

9. Seamus Kennedy Rating: 6/10 Far from his most impressive outing in a Tipp jersey, but Kennedy put in a big effort up and down the field all day. Capped off his hard working performance with a vital point late in the second half, and generally used the ball well anytime it came his direction.

19. Jake Morris Rating: 9/10 An absolutely savage display from Morris who looks to have finally announced his arrival as a pivotal forward for Tipperary. He took all of his goals with typically clinical strikes and had Conor Cleary, and Rory Hayes on toast throughout the game. When on form, there are few who can curtail the Nenagh man. Consistency will be key going forward.
