Tipperary school introduces free music lessons for incoming first years

Exciting Opportunity for Incoming First Years at Rockwell College
Rockwell College has announced a pioneering initiative for incoming First Year students starting this September. As part of their commitment to nurturing creativity and academic excellence, all new students can receive free group instrument lessons at our esteemed Rockwell Music Academy. This includes tuition in a wide range of instruments such as Piano, Voice, Musical Theatre, Drums, Guitar, Violin, Cello, Flute, Saxophone, and Trumpet.
Dr. Anita Collins from Big Better Brains highlights that "music education accelerates brain development, particularly in language acquisition, reading skills, and mathematical abilities." Rockwell College wholeheartedly endorses this belief and has observed firsthand how music enriches our students' educational experience. This initiative offers students a unique opportunity not only to cultivate their musical talents but also to enhance their academic skills and deepen their learning journey through music.
"We firmly believe in the transformative power of music to foster creativity, teamwork, and artistic development," says Principal Audrey O’Byrne. "This programme underscores our commitment to delivering a well-rounded education that prepares students for success in all facets of life."
