The Superintendent Garda in Clonmel has praised emergency services who attended the scene of the fatal crash on Mountain Road yesterday (August 25), calling their work "exemplary".
Superintendent Kieran Ruane spoke to the media earlier today (August 26), describing the scene where four young people died as "very difficult".
He said, "I want to express my gratitude to my colleagues in An Garda Síochána and other emergency services who attended the scene last night. The scene was very difficult in very adverse weather conditions. The professionalism shown by all first responders and the care and respect shown to the deceased was exemplary."
