Call out to community and social clubs to join Team Tipp Clean Up
The countywide campaign aims to tackle roadside litter during Climate Action Week
Tipperary County Council is calling on residents, community groups, tidy towns, schools, sports clubs and businesses across the county to come together for the Team Tipp County Clean-Up Weekend, taking place from October 9-12 as part of Climate Action Week.
This countywide initiative aims to tackle roadside litter, enhance local communities and inspire collective action to keep Tipperary clean, green and litter-free.
Commenting on the initiative, Leas Cathaoirleach of Tipperary County Council, Councillor Micheál Anglim, encouraged everyone to get involved:
"The Team Tipp County Clean-Up is a fantastic opportunity for people across the county to come together and make a visible difference in their local communities. Every bag of litter collected helps protect our environment, supports biodiversity, and enhances the places where we live, work and visit.
“I am continually inspired by the dedication of our Tidy Towns groups, community volunteers, schools and local organisations who give so much of their time to improving their areas. This clean-up weekend is about building on that community spirit and encouraging everyone to play their part.
“Whether you can spare an hour or a full day, your contribution will make a difference. I encourage people of all ages to get involved and help make this year's Team Tipp County Clean-Up the most successful yet."
