RIP: Tributes paid to late Tipperary woman who 'always had a smile'

The death has occurred of Noreen Gleeson, of Bushfield, Carrigatoher, Nenagh, and Silver Birch Rehab Care Limerick, who died suddenly, on September 5 2026.

She is predeceased by her parents Timmy and Bridie Gleeson and her uncles and aunts.

Noreen will be sadly missed by her family, her aunt Judy Fennelly, aunt-in-law Mary Gleeson, cousins, relatives, good neighbours and all her friends in Day Service Rehab Care Nenagh and in Silver Birch Rehab Care Limerick.

She will lay in repose on Thursday September 10 at Ryan's Funeral Home Nenagh from 5:30pm, with Rosary at 6:45pm, followed by removal to Boher Church, Ballina, arriving at 7:30pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11:30am, followed by burial in Burgess Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Day Service Rehab Care Nenagh and also the staff of Silver Birch Rehab Care Limerick for all the love and kindness shown to Noreen over the years.

May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Tributes have been paid to Noreen following her passing, with one person saying: “Thinking of Noreen and her family on the sad occasion of her passing. Noreen was a great woman and I’ll have very fond memories of working with her in rehab care Parnell street. She always had a smile and always up for a laugh. She will be missed so much by everyone.”

Another said: “I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Noreen. She was such a lovely lady, and it was always a pleasure to see her when she came to me. I’ll remember our chats and the lovely person she was. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this very difficult time. May she rest in peace.”
