A speed survey is to be carried out in Templederry in north Tipperary, although any safety measures would be “expensive” said the Council, due to the length of the village

A speed survey is to be carried out in Templederry to establish the extent of speeding in the village, said Tipperary County Council in a district meeting earlier this week.

The survey will use data from the two existing driver feedback signs, together with information collected from a temporary speed monitoring camera.

However, if traffic calming measures were needed, it would be “expensive” due to the length of the village, said the Council, who asked for “urgent traffic calming measures” —including to address excessive vehicle speeds through the village.
