Stayin' Alive: Cosmic Funky Band play in Cooney's Bar for Carrick Rugby Club fundraiser
Cooney's Bar in Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary, vows to bring the crowd to funky town for a fundraiser for Carrick Rugby Club
Cooney's Bar in Carrick-on-Suir, in partnership with Carrick Rugby Club, are welcoming back the Cosmic Funky Band for a fundraiser for the club on November 13th.
“Get ready to throw care to the last of your dignity and lose yourself to the gorge of boogie-night funk, with some of the filthiest grooves that birthed a generation”.
Led by disco aficionado, Johnny Disco, the Cosmic Funky Band salutes the era defining disco of Gloria Gaynor, Chic, the Bee Gees, ABBA, Jackson 5 and the undisputed King of Funk, Mr James Brown.
Whether you're reliving the golden age of disco or discovering it for the first time, the Cosmic Funky Band guarantees a night of unadulterated boogie fever.
Followed by the unmistakable block-party grind of DJ Dr Phil, prepare to take a journey of self-discovery and denigration.
Tickets at €22.42 are available via Eventbrite. The fun kicks off at 8.30pm on Friday November 13th.
