Tipperary gardaí issue alert after another phishing scam nets €3,000 from bank account

The gardaí have issued an alert for people to be on the lookout for phone scams in the run-up to Christmas.

The warning from Sgt Declan O'Carroll at Nenagh Garda station came as he revealed that phishing incidences in the locality had increased in the last two weeks.

One individual who clicked on an online link masquerading as being from a Government department had €3,000 taken from an account.
