€50k alterations approved for Presbyterian church in this Kildare town

Plans for alterations have been approved for the Presbyterian Church on North Main Street, Naas, Co Kildare.

According to Construction Information Services, application number 2660250 was approved by Kildare County Council on May 1 2026.

The original planning application was submitted to the local authority for consideration on March 12 2026.

The €50k plans involve internal works to a Protected Structure (NS19-006).

The works consist of the following:

• Reordering of internal furniture layout involving removal of existing timber pews and replacement with loose chairs;

• Removal of existing raised pulpit area and enclosure, and replacement of missing timber floorboarding following its removal;

• The salvaging of surrounding panels to form bench storage area and wall panelling;

• The construction of a fixed screened area for audio equipment area to rear.

The total site area is 0.02ha
