Allegation

A woman told Naas District Court that her husband had threatened to kill her.

The woman, who was seeking the protection of the court, further alleged she kicked her in the ribs and legs and said he would smash her head.

She claimed she was slapped in the face and “he insults my mother every day.”

The women said they are living together and she said he had sex with another woman in June.

She told Judge Miriam Walsh that she did not seek medical attention and added that he grabbed her phone from her.

The woman said that on occasion he slapped her in the face after the gardaí, who had been called, left the house.

The court was also told that the man, who was not in court, has a protection order against the woman.

She told the judge she had not applied for a protection order at the time because she thought he would cease “behaving crazily.”

The woman also thought that he would move out, but he did not.

“I don’t want him in the  house any more,” she said.

She also said she does not want the gardaí calling  to the home and her husband summons them.

Judge Walsh said she would grant a protection order, which will be served by the gardaí.
