The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland is running its Made Local campaign which seeks to increase awareness and appreciation of Irish-made products and support the growth of Ireland’s sustainable design and craft industry.

Pictured is Michael Tutty from Co. Kildare, as part of Design & Crafts Council Ireland’s Made Local campaign.

Tutty’s Shoemakers in Naas is a family business that has been operating from Kildare for three generations creating individually crafted shoes of a superior quality.

DCCI’s Made Local initiative highlights the originality, quality and value of Irish designed and craft-made products.

It is a reminder to people that buying locally produced, well-crafted products is much more meaningful, sustainable, and impactful.

Made Local encourages consumers to consider their purchases carefully and make mindful buying decisions in choosing beautiful, high quality, sustainable products from designers and craft makers in Ireland.

For a full list of Irish craft and design makers and retailers participating in Made Local 2024, visit DCCI’s online directory at www.madelocal.ie where consumers can search for makers and the products they want, by location.
