Support for Kildare's animals in need

Nine-year-old Sofia from Athy visited our shelter this week with her mother. She brought a lovely donation of dog food as well as a bag of her own cherished soft toys and teddys.

Sofia doesn’t have a dog, but when asked would she like to have one she said; “ I would like to have a million dogs”. She does have a guinea pig called Fluffy that she has trained to place his paw on her hand when he wants his food.placeholder image

Sofia and April

We had another visitor recently with a donation of dog food and some dog toys. Oscar used his birthday money to make the purchases. He did the same thing for his birthday last year. Both Sofia and Oscar are remarkable children.

Finally we want to thank all the sixth year pupils of Scoil Mhuire Community School in Clane for a donation of €100 that they made following a talk that we gave in their school on animal welfare. We wish them the very best in their Leaving Cert exams in June.
