LATEST: €1m is being invested in Kildare trailer storage park

A €1m development at a local trailer storage park has been given the green light.

The expansion has been approved to the site at Mother Hubbards, Moyvalley, Broadford.

Kildare County Council granted planning permission to O'Shea Shotblast and Painting Limited.

A new trailer storage yard of almost one hectare will accommodate 33 new trailer parking spaces.

The location is to the east of the existing site and will be replacing greenfield lands.

The combined number of trailers on the overall site will be 83.

Also approved is the change of use of a restaurant building (842 square metres) into storage use.

A total of 22 storage containers measuring 2.6m high will be installed.

New fencing is also part of the planning application that was granted by the Council.
