National Quality Award Achievement for Kildare Volunteer Centre

The staff and board of KVC have been creating, implementing and documenting new policies and processes across the twelve standards over the past 24 months
Kildare Volunteer Centre is proud to announce that they have been awarded the National Quality Standard for Volunteer Centres. The centre has implemented processes to ensure we are compliant with the national Volunteer Centre Quality Standards Framework, which covers all aspects of our work from Governance to operational processes.
The staff and board of KVC have been creating, implementing and documenting new policies and processes across the twelve standards over the past 24 months. The Quality Standard is a framework tailored to Volunteer Centres, and only achieved for those who satisfy the criteria across all twelve standards which are aligned with the Charity Regulator Governance Code and the 20121-2025 National Volunteering Strategy.
Kildare Volunteer Centre manager David Hand commented, “I am very proud of the work our staff, volunteers and board has put into achieving this standard. We have worked hard as a team over a two-year period to embed quality into every aspect of our work to provide Kildare with a best-in-class volunteer service that it deserves. I would also like to thank Volunteer Ireland for their guidance and support in getting us to this point. Next year, Kildare Volunteer Centre will be celebrating its milestone 20th year of supporting our communities in Kildare. The quality standards award provides us with an excellent foundation for the future.”
Chairperson of Kildare Volunteer Centre Helen Mulhall added, “The Quality Standards Framework is a voluntary process and a mark of our commitment to continuous improvement. We are delighted to have proven effective systems in place and will continue to evolve this practice. We are pleased to share the news as it demonstrates the transparency and accountability that we bring to our work as a community-based organisation and the level of service and openness people can expect when they engage with us.”
