The woman told Naas District Court he is aware of her movements

A separated man is tracking his former wife.

That was the allegation made by the woman who applied for court protection.

The woman claimed at Naas District Court that she had been subjected to coercive control, a number of thefts and financial abuse.

She told the court she is separated and they live in separate bedrooms.

She also alleged he said he would break down her bedroom door.

She alleged a laptop had been stolen and personal belongings had been damaged.

She believed he was tracking her because he was aware of her movements.

The woman also said the man, who was not present or represented, had a camera at the front of the house.

“I’m concerned that he put a monitoring device in my car,” she said.

The woman also claimed she is on anxiety medication as a result of the separation and she had had to take time off work.

Judge Michael Connellan granted her a protection order and said this means he cannot use violence or the threat of violence and cannot put her in fear. He also said that if anything happens to her she should contact the gardaí and make them aware that the order is in existence.
