A case of out with the old and in with the new
A new one day festival will take place in Naas this summer.
The Bealtaine Festival, launched in 2022 and which also took place last year won't be held.
According to the festival committee "to further capitalise on the success of the last two years of the Bealtaine Festival" it's been decided to host the day long festival on Sunday, August 4.
Renamed Féile Nás na Ríogh, the committee which includes local councillors Bob Quinn and Anne Breen says the event "will continue with a stellar lineup of musical acts, a parade, food and craft stalls. Details of the musical acts and entire line up will be announced soon."
It is funded to the tune of €30,000 by Kildare County Council.
