Call to calculate shoppers in Naas town areas ahead of planning blueprint

Kildare Co Council has been asked to carry out a footfall survey of shoppers and visitors to key Naas areas.

Cllr Robert Power believes the information will be useful to compile a draft Naas Town Development Plan.

The Fianna Fail politician will raise the issue at the next monthly meeting of the municipal district next week.

Cllr Power asked that the Council "commit to undertake a footfall survey on key thoroughfares in Naas ahead of the formation of the draft Naas Town Development Plan."
