Co Kildare Gardaí warning car owners not to leave keys visible in homes - with reports of stolen cars on the rise

Gardaí in Co Kildare are warning car owners not to leave keys visible in homes following a spate of stolen cars in North Kildare this week.

Two cars have been reported stolen this week in Maynooth.

A black Audi A4 registered 152 was stolen from outside a house on January 20, last.

In a separate incident, a 15 D registration Skoda Fabia was stolen.

Garda Audrey Sheridan is urging people not to leave keys visible in homes.

She said: "All they need is a stick with a hook on it to get keys that are inside the door."
