Congestion after Dublin Port Tunnel closes due to vehicle shedding load

Both bores of the Dublin Port Tunnel are currently currently closed due to a vehicle shedding its load.

Gardai said the 5 axle truck ban is temporarily lifted in the City Centre as a result.

AA Roadwatch said anybody travelling to Dublin Airport will have to take an alternative route.

Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) is at the scene and at least two units are attending.

A photo tweeted by DFB appears to show water on the ground.

Firefighters also seem to be using breathing apparatus equipment.
