Leinster MFC quarter-final

An accurate display of shooting has helped Kildare into an eight point lead at half-time in this Leinster quarter-final as the double act of Jimmy Hyland and Ciaran Kelly have picked up where they left off against Wicklow with another industrious display.

Kelly has been the star once again, striking 1-3 in the opening 30 minutes, while his partner has contributed two points as well.

Kelly's goal was the first score of the game, coming within two minutes of the first whistle from the penalty spot following a foul on Jack Robinson.

Westmeath have been wasteful in possession and have kicked a number of wides, though they have been much better than the scoreline would suggest. Their solitary score from play came from wing-back James Maxwell, though they endured a barren 24 minute spell during the first half in which they failed to score.

Kildare look nailed on for victory here, and if the Lilywhites keep their composure they should see this one through.
