Expressions of interest invited to construct new Scoil Phadraig BNS Clane

Kildare North Labour General Election Candidate Emmet Stagg has welcomed the publication on August 2nd of Invitations of Expressions of Interest from building contractors for the construction of the New Scoil Phadraig BNS, Clane.

Mr. Stagg stated that building contractors have until September 10th to indicate that they wish to be considered for the construction of the new school and will be shortlisted for the Tender Stage.

Following the evaluation of the Expressions of Interest it is hoped to invite actual tenders for the construction work from the shortlisted contractors by November 9th.

According to Mr Stagg, the project includes the 'provision of a new 24 Classroom School, General Purpose Room and ancillary accommodation and planning permission for the new school was granted by Kildare Co. Council on July 4th, 2016. The estimated value of the project is €8.5 Million.'

Concluding Kildare North Labour General Election Candidate Emmet Stagg vowed 'to continue to monitor progress on the Tender Stage to ensure that the construction of the new school commences in 2019.'
