The father who died on a Co Kildare road this week is being laid to rest on Friday.

Urgent appeals are now being made to invest in a Co Kildare road after it claimed the life of  41-year-old father, Clark Duffy,  earlier this week.

Cllr Ivan Keatley is calling for funding to ensure that the road is made safe.

He said: "I definitely think that rumble strips need to be put in. It is a dangerous stretch of road."

Mr Duffy, formerly of Laytown, Co Meath and Bailieborough, Co Cavan, is survived by his son Malachy, mother Tish, father Martin, brother Adam, Sally-Ann, step- children, Justin, Roxanne , Harrison, grandchildren and extended family and his biker friends.
