Irish couple caught up in Paris attacks get engaged in Dublin's Shelbourne Hotel

The Irish couple who survived the Paris terror attacks have shared their joy after getting engaged just before Christmas.
Katie Healy and David Nolan were among the concertgoers at the Bataclan theatre where three gunmen open fired on the crowd at an Eagles of Death Metal concert and detonated suicide bombs, killing 89 people.
The pair who met a few years ago on a night out in Temple Bar have shared their happy news a little more than a month following the tragic turn of events - after David proposed to his long-time love over the weekend.
Early on Saturday, Co Louth native Katie shared that the couple were headed for a mini-break at the Shelbourne - before posting about the happy news just an hour later.
She wrote: "Breakfast in the Shelbourne! Divine. This is such a lovely mini break, after Paris this is just what we needed."
She later added that it was the "happiest day" of her life, and shared a snap of a best wishes plate of sweets from the Shelbourne hotel on Instagram. Early on Monday, she wrote: "Have I mentioned David proposed? "We're engaged. We're getting married, no big deal."
Posting an up-close snap of her engagement ring on Instagram, Katie wrote: "It's not sinking in." Friends and loved ones were quick to congratulate the couple on their happy news.
The news comes just weeks after the devastating attacks in the romantic city of lights where the couple went to celebrate Katie's birthday.
