KILDARE COURT: Man seeks protection because he's afraid of daughter

A man told Naas District Court he is afraid his daughter will attack him.
He came before court seeking protection saying she had taken online tutorials on how to attack someone bigger than her.
He also claimed she had joined a gym and had bought a punchbag.
She came into his room, he added, and accused him of taking her keys and of abusing her dog.
“She’s burst into my bedroom,” he said.
The court heard a further allegation that she had accused him of drugging her food and in July he left the house for five days.
He also claimed she took the key from his bedroom door and she does not talk to her mother.
He also said she does not get on with anyone in the family.
He said she was not aware of him coming to court because he feared she would go to his sister or she would damage the house.
Judge Miriam Walsh granted an interim barring order pending a further hearing.
