Kildare Garda Station sponsors underage soccer team as part of community engagement

Kildare Garda Station has been announced as the new sponsors of a team in Kildare Town.

As part of his community engagement project, Garda JD Lynch of Kildare Garda Station helped train the under 18 Kidare Town AFC team.

The new kit and footballs sponsored by Kildare Garda Station were presented to the club from Garda Lynch, Superintendent Martin Walker and Sergeant Tara Sharpe.

Local Garda management believe that the association with the under 18 squad will foster positive relations with teenagers in the community.

The kit with 'Kildare Garda Station' on the front was officially presented by Gardai to club officials in the clubhouse on the Rathbride Road last week.
