A proposal to make a Naas street a one way route has been deferred.

At a Naas Municipal District meeting, Cllr Bob Quinn asked whether the feasibility of creating one way driving system along John's Lane  had been examined.

The route connects North Main Street (opposite the Dunnes Stores entrance ) with Friary Road (exiting at the back of Hayden’s pub).

Kildare County Council engineer Donal Hodgins said proposals to limit through traffic within the Friary Road and John’s Lane area are part of a bigger traffic management plan for the town centre.
