Kildare road safety experts launch Christmas campaign

Kildare County Council and the Kildare Garda Division will launch its annual Christmas Road Safety campaign on Thursday.

This year's campaign will focus on the areas of social responsibility, designated drivers and the Impact of a wrong decision.

The Mayor of Kildare, Cllr Ivan Keatley will officially launch the campaign in the presence of the Chief Executive of Kildare Peter Carey.

Among keynote speakers will be Garda Inspector Oliver Henry of An Garda Siochana, Tony Kelly, Advanced Paramedic from the National Ambulance Service and Jake Byrne, Motorsport Ireland's 'Young Driver of the Year'.

A number of invited guests from the hotel industry, manufacture & trade sector and the motor industry have been invited to attend, in addition to a restricted number of secondary school students.
