Kildare water pipes are under pressure and the supply is 'on a knife edge'

'We're relying on one reservoir to produce too much water'
Water pipes in parts of County Kildare are under pressure and in some areas the supply is “on a knife edge.”
Cllr Claire O’Rourke asked Kildare County Council to urge Uisce Éireann to prioritise major projects it intends to start soon in Kildare and she said the pipes system is under pressure. Cllr Chris Pender said: “We are relying on one reservoir to produce too much water.”
He said according to UE the supply is on a knife edge.
Cllr Fahey said some of the problems experienced in Celbridge were related to the pipes, as opposed to a water pressure issue.
Cllr Bernard Caldwell said “three bursts” had taken place between the Intel plant and Carton House in north Kildare.
