KILDARE: Woman claims her ex-partner gave her a sexually transmitted disease

A woman told Naas District Court that her ex-partner had given her a sexually transmitted disease.

The woman sought a protection order saying that he is stalking her after she told him to stop.

The woman added that she is pregnant and the relationship is over.

She also said she is afraid of him and he uses drugs.

“He has a really short temper,” she claimed, adding that he is good with his fists.

“He put me in hospital, he gave me an STD,” she said.

Judge Joanne Carroll granted an interim protection order.

The judge said the order means the man cannot beset her residence or communicate with her, including electronically.

The judge stated she will ask the gardaí to serve the order.
