Man fined for 'bullying' behaviour on road near Kildare roundabout

A motorist was convicted at Naas District Court of dangerous driving last year.
Defendant Eben Adlen (38) was driving a BMW near the Johnstown Roundabout in June 2015 when two lanes merged into one and he pulled out in front of a lorry.
The court heard that the South African national's sudden manoeuvre amounted to 'bullying' behaviour as a driver and caused damage to the side of the lorry.
Judge Desmond Zaidan was told that there was a verbal confrontation between both drivers and Mr Adlen left the scene before returning a short time later.
The court was told that conditions were bright and dry at the time of the incident.
Mr Adlen had one previous conviction for speeding dating back to 2004.
Judge Desmond Zaidan fined the defendant €600 for dangerous driving and €100 for failing to give appropriate information at the scene of an accident.
