South Kildare Supt appealing for Operation FreeFlow

Supt Martin Walker says Garda resources in South Kildare are too low with just 126 Gardaí in South Kildare. The Supt is calling for Operation Freeflow to return to South Kildare.

Meanwhile, Supt Walker is appealing in an application to the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris that 10 more Gardaí are deployed for Operation Freeflow in South Kildare.

There is currently  a call for Gardaí to bring back Operation Freeflow in Dublin.

The operation was first introduced in 1996 to keep traffic moving in the city in the run up to Christmas, but was dropped in 2011.

Supt Walker wants Operation Freeflow in Co Kildare and especially South Kildare where he says has the extremely busy Whitewater Shopping Centre and Kildare Village Outlet.
