It’s different and offers the best of Irish and international music acts in the most unusual settings and venues. The 24th hosting of Music Under the Mountains will see artists perform in the intimate and eclectic venue of St Kevin’s Church of Ireland, or indeed ‘Tunes in the Woods’ can be enjoyed in the heart of Hollywood forest.

The line-up this year includes some high profile musicians, opening on Friday 18th with Steve Larkin, Mick Kinsella and Donal Siggins who celebrate their album launch. Saturday brings more workshops, sessions and music in the woods plus a concert with acclaimed harpist with the Chieftains, Tríona Marshall.

Sunday night sees the closing concert with Eleanor Shanley (formerly of De Dannan) with Frankie Lane and Paul Kelly with further workshops and sessions. The festival hosts many ovesseas musicians, most notably from Sweden and Brittany who have long been friends of the festival.

Margaretha Mattesson and Britta Borjes will bring their unique Swedish style of fiddle playing and of course, there are many Breton musicians who’ve attracted a popular following in recent years. Singer Alyth McCormack from the Isle of Lewis,Scotland will celebrate her new album on Sunday morning’s singing session.
