80's disco night in aid of Laois town's Meals on Wheels dinners
Dig out the legwarmers and hairspray, because a fun dress-up 80s disco has been announced in aid of a Meals on Wheels service in a Laois Offaly town.
The 'Back to the 80s Party' is a fundraiser for Portarlington's community based service which delivers some 80 hot dinners several days a week to the elderly and vulnerable in the town and surrounding areas.
The meals are cooked in Portarlington Social Services Centre, and delivered by hard working local volunteers.
Dressing up in 80s garb for the disco is optional, say the organisers.
The fun night will take place in Portarlington Golf Club, on Saturday, November 18.
There will be a local 80s DJ, a full bar and even a taxi service on hand from midnight to 1.30am.
Doors open at 9.30pm and admission is €10 on the door.
