Gardaí conduct operation on the rail line between Portarlington and Dublin
Gardai who were joined by Irish Rail staff as part of Operation Twin Tracks
Gardaí and Irish Rail inspectors carried out operations aimed at improving safety along the rail line from Portarlington to Dublin this week.
Gardaí from Kildare Community Policing, alongside Irish Rail inspectors, took part in joint operations on the Portarlington to Heuston rail line as part of Operation Twin Tracks.
Gardaí said “these operations focus on enhancing safety and security for passengers and staff, tackling anti-social behaviour, and promoting a safe and positive environment for everyone travelling by rail.
“Through continued collaboration we are working together to keep our rail network safe and provide reassurance to the travelling public,” they stated.
Operation Twin Tracks is a national initiative between Gardaí and Irish Rail which aims to keep rail use safe for the public.
