Laois teen accused of multiple sexual assaults

A teenage boy appeared in court accused of sexual assault. 

The teen, 15, who has a Laois address, is accused of eight counts of sexual assault on dates unknown between August 1, 2020 and January 26, 2023.  

Reporting restrictions were imposed preventing the identification of the accused or the alleged injured parties.  

Judge Cephas Power remanded the teenager on bail and said the defendant is not to have any contact direct or indirect with any complainant in the case. 

The case was adjourned to Portlaoise District Court on February 12.
