Laois village invites locals to learn how to 'go greener'

Emo Sportsfield Committee are hosting an information evening as part of local environmental efforts.

The Committee say Karen Moore, the Community Climate Action Officer with Laois County Council and Laurence O'Reilly mentor for Laois and Offaly with SEAI will speak about what can be done to as they put it "go greener".

"They may have ideas you would like, to help you reduce your energy bills. And also things we can do as a community to reduce our carbon footprint. We would ask householders, farmers, business owners, everyone in the Emo/ Rath area to attend and see what is in it for you. We look forward to a good turnout," said the committee.

The event takes place on Wednesday, August 9 at 7.30pm in the community centre.
