'Lets get behind phenomenal athletes' - fans urged to follow Laois Camogie in Croke Park All-Ireland final

Ladies Gaelic Football Association makes appeal to its fans and GAA supporters to go to the three finals
Fans of Gaelic Games in Laois and from every county in Ireland have been urged by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to make the trip to Croke Park for the camogie All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park where Laois will play Armagh in one of three deciders.
Trina Murray, Uachtarán Chumann Peil Gael na mBan, made the appeal, which was similar to her counterpart in the Camogie Association before the Ladies finals when Laois played Tyrone.
"We were delighted to see such a big crowd at Croke Park last Sunday for our TG4 All-Ireland Finals. An attendance of over 48,000 represented the third highest for All-Ireland Finals day in LGFA history," said a statement issued to the Leinster Express / Laois Live.
“The inter-county season is not over. Next Sunday, the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Finals will take place at Croke Park. Three games are down for decision and six counties will be represented on the big day, namely Laois, Armagh, Kerry, Offaly, Galway and Cork.
“I’m urging Ladies Gaelic Football supporters and indeed supporters of Gaelic Games from all over Ireland to make the trip to Croke Park next Sunday, August 10th, for the All-Ireland Camogie finals.
“Let’s get behind the phenomenal athletes who will proudly wear their county colours and go in search of silverware in the Premier Junior, Intermediate and Senior grades.

“Let’s help to ensure that a huge crowd flocks to Croke Park and all of us at the Ladies Gaelic Football Association wish our Camogie Association counterparts all the very best in the coming days ahead of their annual flagship day.
"Seo linn go Páirc an Chrócaigh don chamógaíocht," concluded the appeal.
Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta, made a similar appeal prior to the LGFA finals on August 3 when he said the focus would be on 'the incredible talent and dedication of our female athletes'.
"Let’s help create a united front for women’s sport. Your presence matters. Your voice counts. Let’s pack the stands, break more attendance records, and show the country just how powerful our support can be when we stand together," he said.
The Laois Camogie team return to GAA HQ to contest their second Premier Junior All-Ireland final in a row after losing to Tipperary at the same stage in 2024. Laois take on Armagh in the 2025 decider which throws in at 1 pm.
The Intermediate Final will begin at 3 pm and will see Kerry and Offaly compete for the McGrath Cup.
The day culminates in the Senior Final at 5:15pm as Galway and Cork battle it out for the O’Duffy Cup.
