Party time in Laois town's community and business hub
It's a gloomy Laois day but there's a party kicking off in Mountrath, at the BloomHQ community and business hub.
BloomHQ is in the former Brigidine school and convent donated by the order to the town.
It is now restored and renovated into a vital hub and celebrates its fourth birthday this Wednesday, July 26.
Manager Andrea Deering tells the Leinster Express that they are having two parties, hence the two yummy cakes.
The first is a lunch for all the businesses who now call the hub home, and the second will welcome in the local community.
The community party starts at 3.30pm with a slideshow of the renovations over tea and birthday cake.
Lots of games will follow with local clubs and community, followed by a showing of a Laois film.
All are invited to join in the celebrations.
