Portlaoise footpath no good for pedestrians or prams

Footpaths on a Portlaoise road are in need of repair, with residents asking for works.
The Well Road also called the Timahoe Road, needs repairs to the road as well, a local councillor reports.
Cllr Thomasina Connell tabled a motion for footpath repairs, to the May meeting of the Portlaoise Municipal District.
She asked the the council repair the footpaths across the road from Cummins Motors.
"A couple of residents in that area contacted me on it. There is a very bad dip in the road, maybe you can look at that too as well. I have a pram now and it's brought it to light for me. Please have a look at the footpath too," Cllr Connell said.
In reply, the area engineer agreed to meet on site to examine the condition of the footpaths.
