An Gardaí Síochána Laois/Offaly have taken to Facebook to highlight the importance of checking on vulnerable neighbours during this cold snap.
"Although Laois and Offaly haven’t been as severely affected as some of our neighbouring counties, the recent cold snap has brought icy conditions to our roads, making travel hazardous in some areas," they stated.
"There are still pockets within both counties where people need our assistance. Our colleagues across #Laois and #Offaly, alongside local authority staff, are calling to check on vulnerable residents and ensure their wellbeing during this challenging time," they finished.
