Drugs destined for a Cavan address have been intercepted and seized by Revenue officers.
As a result of risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog James, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin seized 6 kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €120,000.
The illicit drugs were discovered on Thursday (March 7) in a parcel originating from Spain and were destined for an address in Cavan.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
