€70,000-worth of cannabis seized in Roscommon drug bust

Gardaí from the Roscommon/Longford Divisional Drug Unit have seized 87 cannabis plants, believed to have a street value of up to €70,000, during a search of a house in County Roscommon last Friday, July 4.

Local uniformed officers also particpated in the raid on the residence at Fourmile House, and a 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He appeared before Sligo District Court on Saturday, July 5, on charges relating to the incident, and was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court this Friday, July 11.
