'Fantastic fundraising achievement': Longford students raise amazing amount for charity
St Christopher’s Special School in Abbeycartron, Longford held a disco featuring Today FM's Power Hour as part of their fundraising for Jack and Jill Children's Foundation
ST CHRISTOPHER’S Special School in Abbeycartron, Longford has raised a whopping €2,225 for Jack and Jill Children's Foundation.
Acting Principal of the school, Irene Brady said: “We were delighted to welcome Erin Watt Shepherd, a representative from Jack and Jill, who joined us to congratulate everyone on their wonderful efforts.
“We are thrilled to have raised an incredible €2,225 for this very worthy cause!”
As part of their fundraising efforts, the school held a disco featuring Today FM's Power Hour, with friends from St Christopher's Adult Services joining in the fun.
Ms Brady congratulated all students, staff, families and everyone who supported the fundraiser. “We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and it was lovely to see everyone come together for such a worthwhile cause,” she noted.
