Traffic disruptions on the Dublin Rd approach to Longford town caused by cars exiting a major retailer will be “looked at” by Longford Council's roads department.

The difficulty was raised by Cllr Peggy Nolan: “I've been approached by members of the public about the problems of getting in and out of Dunnes Stores. In the run up to Christmas those problems are going to be more pronounced. Is there anything that can be done about it?”

Senior Executive Engineer Eamonn Bennett said: “We will look at it and see what can be done.”
